DESCRIPTION
With curved triangular body formed of flattened variegated cowhorn, the outer face fitted with a gilt-bronze relief plaque cast with a pierced design of trophies, both of hunting and of war and entwined with the laurels of Victory and the oak sprigs of Steadfastness, with gilt- bronze base cast with a band of flowers, delicately moulded gilt top cast with alternating bands of rose ornament and rococo scrollwork, fitted with a pair of rings for suspension cords, and the mounts preserved with almost all of their original brilliant fire-gilding.
